With our team's diverse perspectives and individual authenticity, we create the perfect blend of minds, people, energy and environment to communicate and celebrate TRUTH.

We are looking for a Director of Finance to serve as a senior leader within Signed, the holding company that includes Crown + Conquer, Let It Break, Everybody's Crazy, and Reframe. This role is responsible for stewarding the financial health, operational stability, and long-term scalability of the organization and its operating entities. The Director of Finance partners closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), CEOs, and General Managers to ensure financial strategy, reporting, and controls are consistent, transparent, and aligned to the company's evolving operating model. The role flexes between high-level planning and day-to-day execution, with a clear mandate to strengthen financial infrastructure as the business continues to scale. The position is based in Los Angeles (hybrid) and reports directly to the COO.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Steward the financial health of Signed HoldCo and its operating entities (Crown + Conquer, Let It Break, Everybody's Crazy, and Reframe).
  • Translate enterprise vision into financial strategy; lead capital allocation and scenario planning across the portfolio.
  • Establish shared financial standards, policies, internal controls, and approval frameworks across all entities.
  • Lead consolidated annual planning, forecasting cadence, and cash flow management across HoldCo and entities.
  • Prepare and present financial reporting for executive leadership, board meetings, and investor communications; build dashboards and KPIs across the portfolio.
  • Provide financial oversight of agency economics at Crown + Conquer and member economics at Let It Break, in partnership with each entity's General Manager.
  • Own day-to-day financial leadership at Everybody's Crazy in absence of a GM layer, in close partnership with the COO.
  • Provide financial oversight of product business mechanics at Reframe — including unit economics, inventory, and channel economics — in partnership with the Operations Director.
  • Manage the external accounting team responsible for bookkeeping, monthly close, AP/AR, payroll, tax filings, and audit preparation across all entities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; lead audit preparation and own the financial risk register across entities.
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the COO, CEOs, GMs, and functional leaders, translating creative and operational priorities into financial frameworks.
  • Build internal finance capacity over time as the portfolio scales.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Exceptional financial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance leaders.
  • Strong leadership presence with senior executives, founders, and investors.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, scale, and govern financial systems, policies, and controls across a multi-entity environment.
  • Comfort moving between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Operational rigor balanced with a solutions-oriented, collaborative approach in fast-moving creative environments.

QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strongly preferred experience at a Big 4 or other reputable accounting firm.
  • Prior experience as a Controller or Finance lead of an advertising, marketing, or media agency is a plus.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements and preparing board and investor presentations.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing financial processes and standards.
  • Keen ability to track budgeted expenses and analyze variances.
  • Exceptional knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, cost control principles, and GAAP.
  • Experience managing payroll, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
  • Ability to work well with senior executives as well as lead other team members.

BENEFITS

  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k), flexible spending account, wellness stipend, and creative stipend
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Discretionary PTO, sick leave, and paid parental leave
