Job Overview 

Crown + Conquer is seeking a General Manager to serve as the day-to-day operational leader of the agency. The GM drives profitability through effective management of client services, cross-functional accountability, and ensuring the agency operates at the highest level of efficiency and performance. This role sits at the intersection of operations, people leadership, and financial management, and is instrumental in scaling a dynamic, culture-forward organization. The GM is based in Los Angeles and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the Holding Co. 

Job Responsibilities 

Operations & Execution 

  • Oversee day-to-day agency operations, ensuring all departments are aligned and executing against company priorities. 
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational systems, workflows, and processes across all business functions. 
  • Own project delivery infrastructure—ensuring client engagements, campaigns, and experiential programs are staffed, scoped, and executed effectively. 
  • Identify operational gaps and lead cross-functional initiatives to address them. 
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for internal operational issues, resolving conflicts and removing blockers for the leadership team. 

Client & Partner Relations 

  • Collaborate with the Account Team to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and relationship growth. 
  • Step in as a senior operational point of contact with key clients when needed. 
  • Support agency partnerships, vendor negotiations, and external-facing business development efforts.

Finance 

  • Partner with the COO and Finance Director to manage the agency's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin discipline. 
  • Monitor financial performance across accounts and business lines, providing regular reporting and analysis. 
  • Support revenue planning processes and work with account leads to ensure projects are scoped and priced appropriately. 
  • Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize staffing against revenue and project demands. 
  • Drive cost efficiency across agency operations without compromising quality or culture. 
  • Work with the COO to set comprehensive goals for performance and long term growth 

People & Culture 

  • Manage and develop department leads and functional managers, providing coaching, goal-setting, and performance oversight. 
  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive, and accountable culture that reflects the values and spirit of Crown + Conquer. 
  • Lead workforce planning efforts including hiring, onboarding, and organizational design. 
  • Partner with the COO to develop succession plans and career pathways for key team members. 
  • Maintain a pulse on team health and morale, proactively addressing issues that impact retention and engagement. 
  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company growth. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • 12+ years of relevant business experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior operational or general management role. 
  • Background in an agency, experiential marketing, media, or creative services environment strongly preferred. 
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L oversight, budgeting, and resource planning. 
  • Experience partnering closely with a COO or CEO in a high-growth or founder-led organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build operational systems and processes from the ground up.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—able to lead with authority and empathy.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
